Mis
MIS refers to Management Information Systems and it gives analysts information about an organization’s operations. The demand for applicants is increasing the popularity of MIS as a career option.
Applicants are required to have completed a bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification. Degrees can be completed in related subjects such as computer science. A candidate’s chances of employment increase if they have experience in required systems and applications. Experience with BIRT and JASPER can be beneficial and applicants need to have technical design skills.
Duties include the implementation of the business’s information system and the maintenance of these systems. The job holder is also responsible for helping users operate the software and for assisting with the resolution of technical problems. Other roles include training employees on how to use the computers and the relevant software.
Candidates should be motivated and ready to take on new challenges. Salaries differ according to the position but a general range is an annual salary of between C
$59,000 and C
$90,000.
