Transportation

The consistent need for transportation in all aspects of life demands professionals that are able to consistently provide a high level of efficiency whilst maintaining crucial safety standards. There are hundreds of different positions associated with this field, from government officials and logistics managers to bus drivers and airline pilots; the need for transport professionals remains constant, particularly in a quickly globalizing world.

Requirements for such posts can range from special vehicle operation certifications and on-the-job training to formal university education for transport engineers and the like.
Salaries for transportation professionals working in Canada span the entire spectrum. Logistics coordinators typically see an average of about
$45,000 per year, truck drivers average about
$40,000 a year, and local delivery drivers can make anywhere from
$15,000 to
$40,000 per year. Commercial pilots generally make
$60,000 to
$100,000 per year, whilst those working in public transport generally see figures between
$35,000 and
$50,000 per year. As with many industries, exact figures are closely correlated with experience.
